Self Defense

Self defense class is exactly what the name implies. In today’s world it pays to not only learn to defend yourself from a violent physical assault, but a major component of this class is awareness. Learning awareness, in other words learning to pay attention to your environment, and the signals you are receiving from your subconscious, will keep you out of an undesirable physical confrontation.

Drills are taught to lock into the muscle memory of the student the proper response at the proper time. Exercises are practiced to help the student know how to deliver a powerful response within constricted space.

Renshi Allen, a former policeman and corrections officer and a survivor of many violent physical encounters with weapons and empty hands, is well qualified to teach this realistic self defense program.

While a training partner is not necessary to begin self defense study, we suggest that you consider taking the class together with a friend. Having someone with whom to practice the drills and scenarios learned in this class will help in practice and will make you an automatic, effective responder in a real personal defense situation.

This is an ideal class for women. Renshi Allen has been teaching women’s self defense for twenty five years, and can help you understand and achieve what it really takes to defend yourself from violent predators who too often prey upon the vulnerable members of our society.
