Holistic Hands, a facility for integrative alternative methods of healing, exists to help our clients achieve the best possible state of wellness. Here our patients can choose a modality of treatment from acupuncture, manual therapy which is an advanced form of medical massage, herbal therapy, and movement exercises designed to help the client achieve maximum brain and body function. This will enable the client to bring his body back into a normal state of balance, thereby ameliorating many disease symptoms.

Chinese Medicine, which is the practice of acupuncture, moxabustion, cupping, herbal medicine, and qi gong has been used for thousands of years by many cultures to aid the body's natural healing processes. Acupuncture is the practice of placing fine hair thin needles on various body points to facilitate the movement of qi (pronounced chee). Chinese medicine holds the belief that the life force, or qi flows through the body in channels known as meridians. The Chinese medicine practitioner places these fine needles where the flow of qi may be blocked or weak.

Holistic Hands Proprietor Steven D. Allen is a trained acupuncturist, manual therapist, and master herbalist. He is a member in good standing of the Michigan Medical Acupuncture Association, American Medical Massage Association, Michigan Medical Massage Association, as well as state director of the International Matsumura Seito Society and the United States Martial Artists Association.

Many western studies have confirmed the efficacy of acupuncture in alleviating many disease states. A few, by no means all of these conditions are listed below:

Most sessions last an hour or so for three treatments per week depending upon the treatment plan. Call for pricing. The first patient visit which includes a treatment is $75. The subsequent treatments are about half that price.

Please call or e mail  (steven@dharmawaydojo.com) to find out if you could be helped by Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
